    Question Pre-Cat Replacement

I have a 2001 coupe turbo, and have the Milket cat back section on it. I want to get the pre cat replacement, but on the earlier coupes the cat and the pre-cat is one long section. So i plan to chop it and weld on a plate on the cat to bolt the pre cat replacement to.

    So to my question:

The plate that i need to weld on.....
is it the same as on any astra, i.e. if i find a cat section from any astra and cut the plate off will it then bolt to the pre-cat replacement i will get?

    Hope that made sense

    Thanks

if it was me in your situation id bite the bullet and do it properly rather than bodge it together with bits - money issues aside at least if its all done properly now it will all be new

    Yea me too.

I would get a pre cat replacement and a sports cat done all at the same time.

I was thinking of getting a 200cell cat at just cutting the old cat out and welding it in, that saves me £200

Thats the kinda thing i am hoping to get, i just need to get the plate to weld to to cat section that bolts to the pre-cat section replacement. I really just need to know if i get a cat from any astra from a scrappy and cut the plate off will it fit?

Just phoned LMF and found out that the £325 that norm suggested comes as the whole section and not just a cat that needs to be welded in so, problem solved it will be £485 to finish off my complete system
