need help i've lowered my car 30mm on eibach's and its on 17" with 215/40/17 tyres with 1 person in the back the tyres scuff the arches when i go round tight corners and over bumps. was wondering if i have to upgrade the shocks to bilsteins or could i get away with a 205/40/17 tyres as the tyres are getting low on tread anyway

You can get away with 205s...

Maybe if your on quite high mileage then replacing sampers may help....

215s should be the ideal as this is what vxl fit. I can only imagine the offset isn't astra friendly.

mileage is just into 21k. it does look close i may have to get a couple of mates to sit in the back to see where its hitting. the guy i bought them from said they didnt scuff on his car and his was lowered the same. is there anywhere on the alloy that gives the offset

should be stamped on the centre bit either the back or behind any centrecaps

If it;s only 21k it should be okay...
