    225/40/18 will they fit??

    has any got 225/40/18 on there mk4 astra ? i want a higher profile due to the poor roads around where i live

    ive been looking at some 18" rims et 45 with 225/40/18 tyres i just want to make sure they will fit my van

    ive got 18s and the tyre size your saying on my coupe and i get a little rubbing when loaded.

    no mine aint lowered. but im not sure what the et is on mine but i think it is 45. to be honest i dont think the smaller tyre depth would make much a difference.

    I have 225/35/18 on my coupe with et38 fitment and car is lowered 30mm. Only rub on the rear on a really bumpy road at high speed.

    at the minute im running 215/35/18 et 38 and they dont rub ever when fully loaded the new wheels i want only come in et 45 which im not sure about

    225/40/18 on my coupe not lowered, they only rubbed at the back when fully loading going at high speeds on the motorway. there looks like theres enough clearance on the rear quarter. think they just rubbed on the bottom of the rear bumper, cos it had worn over time.

    got 225 35 18 on the astra sri i have just bought been lowered 60 mil i think as that is wot the guy who sold it me said and chew tyres when fully loaded going to get some higher springs to try sort it a bit

    they were wolfrace ikons, pretty sure they were around 40, cos they were specially ordered for the car. Cant check cos ive sold em now! sorry mate.

    i think the 225/40's look better than 215/35's tbh cos they look fatter plus you get a much better ride!
