    Weird Problems, Help Identifiying

Ive had these problem on my 2.2 2001 coupe for a while now, no one seems to know what it is, its been services, and mot'd and still the same problem.

    The first Problem

This is to do with my suspension

Im sure its the front suspension, but everytime i go over bumps etc, it mega creaks, it sounds horrible. Ive actually recorded a video of the sound, so you should be able to hear it:

    http://homepage.ntlworld.com/c.jones13/video-0002.mp4

    The Second Problem

Im sure this has something todo with my power steering pump...
Its been refilled etc, and still doing it, anyway..

If i turn my ignition around, but not so my engine comes on, theres a high pitch whiring/squeal, that sounds like a plane warming up. This just keeps going, and going, and going.. but the sound is altered when i move the steering wheel, and it sounds like the same noise. I think this is somehow effecting my car when im driving, like today:

I was driving along, came to a junction and the revs dropped loads, and i could hear my power steering, and the more i moved it, the more the revs bounced. I put the accelerator down to keep the revs up, but after a bit it stalled..

Anyone got any ideas what these problems could be?

    Suspension creak is normal.

Power steering one is a bit wierd, sounds like your battery may be on it's way out (the power steering is electric on the Mk4, and uses a heck of a lot of power). If you came to the junction and the battery was weak and unable to power the steering, it could bring the voltage down enough that it'd kill the engine. Is the battery the original one? If it is, it's well past it's best.

Right that high pictched whine I put down to a fuel pump because it does stop eventually in mine. Like the system was primed and ready. The whine is normal.

I had a problem with my car stalling after it'd been out for a while and the car was juddering and it was going all shades of bad. Took its time but it would start back up again. Replaced the engine temperature sensor £6 and now its back fine again. (The engine temp sensor was reporting to my ECU that my car had suddely cooled down and the ECU adjusted the mixture to compensate however it hadn't and my engine got flooded (cutting out)). For £6 I'd say buy the part fit it and see what happens.

I can't help on your suspension. Mine doesn't creek at all. but I'm a 1.6 elegance with SRI suspension on.

Should it really creak that much though? have you heard the vid, although its not brill quality, it shows the sound, and seems majorly excessive.

The battery, i think it is actually the old one, so probably does need changing :s
