Mine took two days, and were done off the car at a specialist firm for £50 per wheel. That included..

    Removing the tyres
Chemically stripping the old finish off
    Straightening them out
Filling the kerbing with alloy (not filler) and machining back flush
    Repainting/baking in 2 pack paint
Remounting the tyres and balancing up.

Unless your getting all that, then I'd say £60 per rim (+ refreshments) is a bit steep.

    Why in 'chit chat' anyway???

Sorry not sue why it is in chit chat ??? (my bad.. Can be moved)

Thanks Ffoeg did seem very steep but can not find anything else down my way.
Just been down to brighton to show him the finish to my rim before he came on saturday turns out he only uses normal ally paint.
Mine are wolfrace katanas with a slight specald black to them.

Which brings me to a new question does anyone know any wheel refurb places in the south.

    Cheers

sorry a little off topic - but what skirts are those Mark? Are you in Kent? I know a few places in east kent if it helps. £60 per wheel for the service he is offering is far too much. There are places around Thanet that will do that for £30-£35 per wheel.

MArk there's a company in Crawley (I think on the manor royal) called Wicked Wheels, pretty sure Mike Warner used em to do his wheels, and they are mint. I've seen their work a few times and would definately recommend em. They did wheels on my mates Scoob legacy.

Had a bad dealing with Spit and Polish when I was at MW, hence I dont recommend em to anyone....

Actually if you sold your wheels and bought some new ones it could work out cheaper? eBay to the rescue....
