With recirc on, your're effectivley blowing warm (breath laden) damp air from inside the cabin back onto a cold widndscreen, hence it's gonna condensate....

yep, true... and in this cold weather our car interiors will be a little more damp than normal. If your car is misting up badly, and you have air con... try that for de-misting

But in general.. dont recirc the air in winter

    *slightly relevant hijack*

Would having the air con on at the same time as the recirc go some way to curing this as the air con dries the air out?

Or is this just an urban myth/lie/something I made up?

No idea my self, as I never use Air Con, or suffer from misted windows - Why?? Because I always drive with the window open slightly.

    However the manual states

    Window demisting and defrosting
    - Turn temperature switch fully lockwise,
    - Set fan to 3 or 4,
    - Set air distribution switch to windscreen,
    - Open side air vents as required and direct
    them towards door windows,
    - Close centre air vents,
    - Switch on heated rear window.

and recirc is automatically switched off if you set the vent control to windscreen. So you'll never find out

old post to drag up, but where is the pollen filter, and how much will a new one cost. Have had the car a year now and i haven't changed it, so may never have been done as was ex fleet.

Need to get car ready for longish journey on sunday so need 3 new wipers, side bulb, and pref a new filter as blowers aren't that powerful and car is always steamed up. Can walk into a car park and mine will be the only with a fully steamed up rear window, does your head in

take the glove box out, and on the right hand side you will see a later box type cover with a gold colour torx bit(or 2) remove them and the pollen filter just pulls out sideways,be carefull loads of little leaves came out of mine last time!!!!

vaux best for pollen filter, not to expensive, make sure you put it in the right way too!!! theres an arrow printed on it to show you

wipers are cheaper from vaux, came to 14.53 for me, pt nos 91158551 and 93177182, bulbs go to a local car spares place or halfords if it comes to it, they may have the BOGOF offer on the superbrilliance bulbs which are very good

£14.50 for all 3? is that just the blade, or the whole wiper arm?
