FK angel eye sidelights annoying prob

would like a comparison please - i have the ultra led supplied led's in mine - now im losing one or maybe 2 evey 2 weeks - different led every time that decides to stop working....................quote from ultra themselves "was that they cant blow" - so why am i losing them so often and why do they just stop working??

now as for the peeps with the normal supplied sidebulbs in the angel eyes - how often do yours blow in comparrison to my annoying led problem - in 4 weeks i have changed 6 led's

im at the point now where im getting a bit tired of changing these led's esp as the normal bulbs are cheaper - in an ideal world i would love to drop the sidelight bulbs but have a feeling the mot will not like that

the LEDs tend to suffer dry joints where the diode and resistors are soldered on inside the plastic holder, might be the LED is ok, i tend to buy the prts and make them myself, that way i know the quality and only myself to blame,

how do BMW get theirs perfect???

so in theory it could be poor quality led's? - i noticed a fair few in the pack are not even made straight - the end kinks on 8 out of 10

any other led suppliers that i could try? is there an alternative to ultraled's as the 3 packs i have had have all suffered probs

you can see here on my clocks that the LED in the top poto, the LED has a touching but dry joint and is very poor light

and when i took the LED out and touched the joint up with a soldering iron the bulb lit up 10 times brighter

ultra LEDs are ment to be one of the best for ready made bulbs, if the bulbs are blowing its either a manufacturing fault, or when ultra have put them together theyve got the LEDs to hot during soldering which gives them an average life of about 2minutes!
