    Question V6 into a MK3 2.0 16v sport

    Hi guys thinking of doing this conversion, what sort of job is it, whats involved any cutting welding etc??? drive shafts??

    Any info greatly appreciated

    its a easy job on the mk3's as the cav an the mk3 use the same sub frame's
    off the top of my head not had a play with a mk3 for a few years now

    i think your right danny........If you have a doner cav/calibra it should be easy enough. C25XE yeah? dunno about the vectra ones.

    engine is out of cav but its an auto would this give me problems or is gearbox control seperate to engine??

    i think this may cause probs if you are wanting it to be a manual.... apart from the obvious, the ecu will need changing etc. Best bet would be to find one that is a manual already.

    But i could be wrong.

    yep they run diff ecu's so look for one with a manual it will work out a lot cheaper for you unless you want a auto v6 astra
