    first service

Just away too book my 2.2 coupe in for it's first service it's a year and a half old and has covered 11k so it's a bit late for it but i changed the oil myself when i got the car 6 month ago and have hardly done any milage since.

Was just wondering if anyone knew what this service intailed and could give me a rough price guide.

Also there is browning around the front arch just under the bumpstrip, will vaux sort this under warrenty ? ( just wondering because of lack of previous service ect if this would be a problem ).

And should i remove my "preformance air filter" prior to the service and refit the standard airbox.

Be gentle, i'm new, Thanks Gavin

If its a cone filter they may get a bit funning about it (depends on dealer) if its just a performance panel filter I would leave it in (But I would let them know incase they replace it with a standard one). In regards to cost when I had my coupe I paid £85 for my first service (but my coupe was a 1.8

I get a full vxl service done every 10k miles... I paid £145 last time I had it done... this includes fully synthetic oil but not replacement of the pollen filter.

As for the air filter. Whatever, you have just tell them not to touch it and they should be ok. However, if you pay for a full service, tell them to reimberse you for the new Air filter (part of the service) that you dont need
