Retro Fitting Cruise Control - Astra H

Does anyone know of a complete guide to fitting Cruise Control onto a Mk5 / Astra H. I've seen the how-to on fitting CC to the G but this is different. The stalk installation seems simple enough but i could use a bit of clarification on the clutch switch side of this. Any help appreciated, Cheers!

I'm with you on this one mate, have the same car as you and would really like cruise control in it as well! Have you looked to see if there is the connector for it behind the original stalk? Havent looked on mine as yet.

Can anyone confirm this through actually doing it? My mum is getting a H SRi turbo shortly, will make a nice mod for it.

in theory the wiring will all be there with the canbus system but if it is really that easy? I would be pleasantly surprised as that would be a nice little mod to all the H's

If some one wants to investigate and do a 'How to' that would be great

There must be something more to it than that surely? I mean It's a £200 option and while I know vaux like to rip us off some times can't imagine they would be that cheeky lol, how much is a stalk anyway? Can't be more than £30 or so?

I spoke to someone from Vauxhall technical who said you will need a clutch switch as well (I did have the part numbers but cant seem to find them). I had planned to do it on mines but sold the car before I had a chance.

I know you had to do that on the mk4 but do you need to do it on the mk5?

So how did you go about doing this then?? Just plug in the stalk as previously mentioned and then get it re-programmed? Or does it not even need re-programming?
