Would be pretty even, but I hear the EDS kits can have traction issues, although I beleive they now do low torque versions to counter this.

Mike, I don't understand? how can the EDS kits have traction issues?

300 lb of torque is.....well....300lb of torque, its gonna be the same if it is gained via CS3 or EDS 3 is it not? or is the EDS torque curve not a curve and more of a sharp rise? I.e @ 2000 RPM you have 150lb then @3000 you have the full 300lb? Im quite confused!

U do get quite a big kick on the EDS maps, the are quite aggresive. The CS ones are less aggresive. Both achieve similar results. Its upto you what you want really

It depends where that torque kicks in.
If it All kicks in as you pull away you get loads of wheel spin. If it kicks in gently but hits the same peak then you get less traction issues.

I have an EDS phase 2 map the torque at 2100rpm is around 215lbft then rises to a max torque of 328lbft at 3500rpm. Thats the high torque map but they do a lower one now i believe.

But your on about phase 3 doh ! That will be my next upgrade in the near future.

Realistically whats i like to drive, also hows your stock clutch fairing up against that much torque!

is the 328ftlb of torque just a huge boost spike?? im so close to posting my ecu off.

Get it done Ben, its brilliant. I am now on PH3, with the VXR blower, and I have got 280 BHP and 318 ft/lb of torque, and the traction is imporved over the Phase 2 I had before, but it is the high ignition map that Dave has, and whilst it aint the handful it was before, it does not half fly!!

I will suggest you make the pilgrimage to Regal to have it set up properly though, you may even bag yourself one of those brilliant flywheels they sell

It goes ok only wheels spins in 1st and 2nd, 3rd in the wet.
I have an uprated clutch and a lightweight flywheel which had been done before the remap. You get about 1.4bar of boost at around 2300rpm then it steadily drops off till it holds at 5k to 7k at 0.7bar.
