My new VXR, some differences to first one.

Picked up my new VXR today and although trying for 500 miles in day one I only managed 448 miles. Delay with the post waiting on insurance cert then was distracted by some femals for a bit so eventaull got going about 3pm-ish after a quick snooper install. Ended up in Edinburgh for a cruise then up thru fife and that me just home now. I had that grin thing going on about 5 minutes after picking it up and my cheeks are hurting again, I so love the VXR

Anyway point of this thread is the differences between the two cars,

    1. the first one had very little exhaust note and lots of that suckin high air flow noise going on from about 3200 but this one has a deeper note and you dont really hear that other suckin noise to much. Weird! (no milltek yet)

    2. the centre speaker grill has the little nipple for the climate to know the temp where as my last one didnt have anything other than a flat grill, the climate works better cos i never really touched it all day and the car was fine where as my last one i kept adjusting it and steaming up.

    3. the standard cd30 mp3 has a totally different sound from my first car too, would almost believe they upgraded speakers stuck some dynamat in and gave it a bit more power.

it is the same car so whats changed between the first cars out the factory and this one i have now? vauxhall have you been making changes during the production and if so what else havent i noticed yet?

My first car had full leather but after spending a day in my new one with the half i actually prefer it, it makes the car look nicer although maybe not as classy but more importantly you really do not move at all cos your clothes resist against the cloth and you really stay put. They are slight different to sit in cos my first the seat was almost straight up and down where as now it has to be reclined back a little or you sit funny with your sholders being pushed out. Cant decide yet which is the most comfy but i never felt like i had to get out the leather ones and after one day in the half leather again was more than happy to sit there all nite.

surprising the differences between the two, but I suppose they will be changing them as faults become apparent.

    Nice little review as always
