SS Exhaust / Exhaust heat wrap ?

Hi peeps just a small question about Exhaust heat wrap

I know its good to wrap 4 branch manifolds with heat wrap to keep the exhaust gas temp up to get it out faster.

So...........My car is going into powerflow on saturaday to have the exhaust done. So what im wondering is, is there any benifit in wraping just the exhaust? its a down pipe back system (i wont be wraping my standard manifold)

I think in theory this should help a little but im not sure

can anyone help? Think this is worth doing or will it make no difference?

for the cost, it's probably not worth it.

Heat wrap is also used on manifolds to keep under bonnet temps down, ans seeing as most of the down pipe and middle section are under the car and recieve a healthy supply of passing air, i would say it's not needed.

Just my view on it, will you be getitng a different manifold?

Yeah i see what you mean. but like you say if the down pipe and middle section normaly get lots of air, then if they are wrapped then it will stop them being cooled down??? keeping exhaust gass temp up???

Yes i intend to get an 4-2-1 manifold but this will not be for 3-4 months +

Cost isnt realy an problem as its pretty cheap really and ill need to buy some for my manifold when i get one.

Do people normaly wrap the rest of the exhaust when they do the manifold???
