    Question smokey turbo?

hi all can anyone help? when my cars been idleing for a bit 10-15mins i get thick black smoke from tailpipe and smells! it runs ok but takes a few miles through gear changes for smoke to clear!

it needs a oil change badly but is it the oil causeing the prob???

6 months ago i had a new turbo cause when i bought the car the turbo seal had gone! just found out vauxhall didn't drain intercooler so it still has oil in which slightly come up into my power pipe! so thats also got to be cleaned out! cound it be that???

Make sure all your breather pipes are clear. A blockage and cause crank case pressure to push oil past the turbo seals.

If its black smoke than its over fueling....... AFM?

If its blue smoke, could be your turbo, piston rings or valve stem seals..

If its white ...... cry!.. lol

as Ben says, black is too much fuel (or not enough air), oil burns blue, and white smoke is water (which normally means a knackered headgasket)

    what does it smell of?

oh and secondly, make sure your not driving a DTi! (sorry, had to throw that one in!)
