    Spyware help

I've managed to get Winfixer2005 on my pc and can't remove it

Ad-Aware doesn't see it and Spybot can't remove it even when it runs on a reboot before everythings up and running

For now it's just blocked on my firewall but i'd like rid of it permantly

I've also done a few google search's and not found anything usefull yet

People are reporting that Microsoft Anti Spyware beta gets rid. www.microsoft.com/downloads

If that doesn't work. Search for these files on your hard drive and delete them...

Cheers for you help so far guys.

I've done as Keif and Sploodge have suggested so far and MS autispyware remover doesn't find it either although it did find items the spybot didn't. Spybot also still finds the orgional problem and my firewall still detects it trying to contact the outside world

So unless anyone else has something they can suggest i'll be trying jam's sollution next although a few files i've checked so far aren't on my computer

Download and rin this - http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilitie...tRevealer.html

Also download Hijackthis ( http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip ) and post the logfile.

lso the info offered by Jam is Ok to do as the files listed are by no way needed... if you have trouble removing some of them then use:

Have a go at this - http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/unlocker1.7.9.exe - Its called Unlocker and will need installing.. Once installed right click the folder/file and choose "Unlock". It might think for a few seconds and then will tell ya if it is in use by something else.. If it is used by something else click the "unlock" button in the bottom right. If it says there is no locking handle then just choose delete from the dropdown list and click OK..
