The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

what i dont understand is...what if theres a tsunami or tidal wave or someting along those lines...i'm sure someone told me the trees are built near an earthquake fault line?

Well no prone area is safe from a tsunami. But to prevent sinkage of the island from an earthquake they used a technigue to compact the sand upto 12m deep, it was a pile drive like method.

But these 'islands' dont seem to be very efficient in the long term, as they will have to keep maintaining them to retain the shape of the legs of the islands as the natural drift of the sea moves the sand further along the island and disorientates the shape.

The palm island has already caused repercussions to the mainland shoreline, so further ones are only inevitable with more simlar islands being built. Tamper with mankind and expect to be punishised!
