    Red face immy bonnet extention

just got my new immy bonnet extention the day and thought i would sit it on the car to see what it looked like before i have it painted

it looked great the problem came when i went to lift the bonnet it hit left end and abit on the right end

to stop this i had to move it back away from the bonnet but this made a 5 to 10 mm gap all the way round did not look so good anymore

has anyone got any advice on fitting them as i want to try get as best line as pos. before i start drilling

    thanks for any help

can you take any photos mate??

if its irmy then it should fit perfect if it dont send it back,

if its a fibreglass ebay copy then thats your problem,

also you are fitting it to the pannel over the wiper motors and not onto the bonnet itself arnt you???

dont think it sits flush mate, there is a small gp, ideally i wud have thought the same as the gap between the wing and the bonnet,

what are the ines like between you wind and bonnet either side??? they should stay the same all the way up and be the same both sides????

Hope these help...genuine Irmy extension used here. No fouling whatsoever, although it was close. very close.
I taped mine into position time and time again to get the clearance perfect before drilling the scuttle panel.

thats a good point, might be that because it isnt bolted down yet the flew in the plastic is lifting it slightly, when its fixed itll sit slightly lower????

the lings between the wing and the bonnet are fine pardoe ,plus the car has never had any hits so all should be fine

its like this if i sit it down so it touches left end and right end of the bonnet even this leaves a 5 mm gap in the middle and if i pull it away so the bonnet can open your talking 8 to 10mm in the middle

it just does not seem to line up to the bonnet

did not expect this from imscher

    your looks great byron

    thanks for the help
