    17" tyre pressure

    Hi all

    Just fitted some coupe turbo alloys of my 2.2 the yokohama parada rubber is fantastic!

    What pressure do i need to put in them?

    The same as it was on your standard tyres/rims - the weight of the car is no different, so the pressure stays the same

    vx garage told me 38f and 36r, sounds high to me but thats what they said, its important to keep the pressure high to keep the centre of the tyre on the road correctly, too much and the middle will wear out, too little and the edges will - as mine did

    Not 100% correct, judging by the handbook it'd say increase it a few psi

    eg.2.0 coupe with
    16" = 35
    17" = 39

    Rim size does make some differnce if you look

    As an aside, it says the pressure in a 205/50 16 spare tyre should be 49psi!

    Spares should be kept at higher pressure to make sure they are inflated on the rare occasions that you use them - it's easier to let them down to the correct pressure, when your in the middle of nowhere on a cold rainy night, than to try and pump them up.

    Assuming of course you have a pressure gauge on you
