    Harness prob

Bought some sparco harnesses to fit to the t8 but found that i cant attach them to the seat belt tensioner because the lap section will not tighten enough if i do.Does anyone have any suggestions? Was reluctant to drill into the body as i cant weld the stress plate on the under side my self . (other two mountings shouldnt be a prob its just the tensioner sides)

2 options remove the tensioners althogther, although q difficult, use a longer bolt for the tensioners and plave the harness mount between the tensioner and the seat. waht do you mean about the lap section?

there is one fixing on the right which will fit fine but even with the left section shortened as much as possible (cos ive got no belly) the bolt that holds the tensioner in place is to near so it wouldn't tighten up enough. For some reason sparco's have made the left section slightly longer than the right

i had buckets complete with harnesses in my astra but have recently removed them. i had no end of problems getting them to fit but eventually did it. cobra orignially sent me the wrong subframes as they didnt allow anywhere to bolt a seat belt to one side. their solution was to send me 2 L-shaped sections with 2 diff diameter holes. one hole to bolt to where the subframe attaches to the floor at the back, using longer bolt. and the other hole was bigger to attach to the harness. this would solve your problem. maybe you could get a local blacksmith to make you one up. not a very hard job to do.

    hope that helps
