Traction Control Switch in a Coupe?

I know there has been many posts about adding a traction control switch before. I just wondered if anyone had added one to a coupe?

Where did you put the button?
Did you use a standard button like in the pic below?

How hard did you find installing it?
Got any pics of where you installed the button?

    John

Fitting to a coupe is no different to any other astra with TC as standard. It's easy enough to fit, just follow the 'How To' - click my sig'

The button goes in a small panel in front of the gearstick, and the button looks something like take, but slightly different IIRC.

    - that button is from a Vectra - not an Astra.

I got a std black panel, traction button, sprayed it europa and hid it in my ashtray as you can't get europa blue panel with traction....

Usually you can get the panel to match your interior and fit it no probs.

Fitted the Traction Control Switch and Panel in my Coupe!

    Traction Control Part Numbers are
    Switch - 90437527
    Loom - 9270597
    Dash piece (black) - 90437593
Dash piece (Gunmetal as below) - 13129777

All the bits are avaliable from Vaux except the Gunmetal Panel which you can get from LMF

    Hope that helped!

    Cheers.

What kinda price did all those bits cost you?

Do you find it more fun to drive with the TC off?

Panel was £4 including P&P from LMF
Switch bout £9 summit + VAT from Vaux
Loom was £9 ish + VAT

I normally leave it on! only flick it off if i need to get out of a junction quick! when you touch the accelerator when TC is on.....even with the slightest of pressure the TC kicks in and slows you down leaving you a prime target to be T-Boned by oncoming Vehicles!

Yeah I know whats that like. I nearly got hit in the side coz the car slipped in the wet as I was pulling out of a junction, the TC kicked in and I was left stranded.

Its definately worth £25, and some time and effort. Can't believe vauxhall didn't fit the button as standard.
