    ???missing Crankshaft Sensor???

    hi guys

bin pottering round the engine today and noticed the crankshaft sensor bracket didnt have a sensor bolted in it .i was always under the impression a modern engine wouldnt run without a crankshaft sensor.
does the mk4 use some other method of sensor.if so why put the bracket there for the old method
