    Central locking button install

I just wondered, is it possible to easily install a button that locks the doors from the inside? Like on the Mk5 (mines a Mk4). I'd quite like one

it would be something simple to do yes, all you need is a rocker switch with 2 outputs so you could toggle between lock and unlock

I did think of that - seemed too simple to me though lol - where would a decent place to take the wire from, do you know? Anywhere decent in the cabin? I'd probably put it on the centre console or maybe near the steering wheel. I'm getting sick of taking my door cards off now, so a pointer would be appreciated

You can take the wires to either kickpanel

You need a earth up the centre of a toggle switch and then switch it to brown/red to lock the doors and brown/white to unlock the doors

The swicth must return to a netural postion every time though

Ok, thanks for that - I think I'll be having a play when it gets warmer outside and I wire in my new EL sills I might see if I can find a similar push switch from an omega or something. I actually noticed the switch in the brazillian astra and didnt see why I couldnt whack one in mine.
