    Key fob

    Vauxhall wer gonna charge a fortune for a new key all i want is the bit of metal at the end (original one snapped). I have the lil chip and the actual fob, does any1 know were i can get tha plastic clip off bit with key on the end?

    A new key (which comes with the microchip) is about 35.00,but then u have to get it programmed to the car,which is about another 20.00.

    I have this day in day out....your right they are blimin expensive.

    The guy has said he has snapped the key so already has the transponder chip that works and just wants to replace the blade

    as far as i know,when u order a key,it comes along with the microchip.
    so you would order the key cut to the code and get the chip anyway.

    so why have the key so it comes in 2 parts? i thought if they have it like that it was bcos they wanted to make it easy and less expensive to just have a new key cut

    it doesnt....it comes as one (the key with the microchip attached)

    i have a remote key fob without the wireless transmitter in it but its has the immob chop if i got another wireless transmitter from a key fob and sync'd it (by turning the ignition on) will the remote locking work?

    When vaux program it are they just programming the little immob chip to the ecu? i hoping they do
