Converting Flame Pink back to Flame Red?

OK, the usual story. My Flame Red has become Flame Pink.

What's the best way of getting the colour back, with minimal effort required?

Also, it is normal for some parts of the car to fade quicker than others? My front wings are considerably pinker than the bonnet which hasn't faded at all, making me think the bonnet may have been resprayed at some point (backed up by a lack of stone chips).

a t-cut polish will bring the colour back then with a god polish regular will keep it looking good and it sounds like the bonnet has been resprayed as on my old mk3 astra i had the same problem but the bonnet was the same as the top of the wings. You can expect the bonnet, tops of the wings, the roof, and the boot to fade more than the sides and back of the car as it is in more direct sun light.

Have a look at the topic I made on how to detail your car and have a look at this site.

If you use T-cut on a two pack paint system it will chew the crap out of it. You need a diminishing polish for two pack paint. I.e primer, colour, clear.

Used to use T-Cut all the time on our old maroon coloured Chevette, and it eventually wore through the paint to the primer.

i just got a red mk3 , the kid who had it before me did a treatment called dimonbrite, which is a paint protection system, should help but imo, t-cut it wiht a colour match polish as its less harsh then regular t-cut, and from then on regular polishing with autoglym or meguiers
thats what i did and had no probs

The t-cut colour polish is a filler and will not last past a couple of washes, your autoglym probably just removed the oxidisation bit by bit.

Your best bet for oxidisation is Klasse AIO and then following up with some abbrasive polish to remove scratches, then seal the prep'd area to reduce the effect the next time it happens.
