Carbon build up on 1.8 engine??

I currently own a 1.8 2003 astra coupe of which ive owned for about 18months. Its a great car & luv it but within the last week I have been having problems with the emmisions light coming on & it miss firing!

This happened for the first time start of last week, so mt vauxhall dealers had the car last friday & was told the throttle body needed cleaning out & should be fine! all good in theory but this monday light appeared again so then went off tuesday but vauxhall had it in yesterday & was told that it had shown up that it was miss firing on the 3rd cylinder (previously the 2nd)

So got my car back yesterday & on the way to work this morning, stuck my foot down after pulling oit of a junction & happened again, with loss of power!

Vauxhalls answer to my problem, is that i am the problem! apparently im not driving my car hard enough?! this sounds like total BULL***T to me & so angry considering getting rid! has anyone else had this problem with the 1.8 engine in their mk4 or coupe?

id take it to a different dealers if they told me that! have you seen all the grandads driving astras-they dont have that problem im sure!
to get rid of the carbon, blast it up and down a dual carriageway for a bit. not sure if i would though if its not behaving properly

yeah sometimes. it wasnt that though. somehow i managed to get 1st from 4th instead of 3rd, and at 6k revs, thats not good! only bent one valve though, had 4 tappets changed, coilpack, and a flush.

and the gearboxes weren't my fault. 1st time the diff snapped, 2nd time the crown wheel sheared, and im on my 3rd one now
