    Anyone in Recruitment????

    Got an interview next week at a recruitment agency for a position as a consultant. Just wondering what people thought of the job and i have a telephone role play to do so any tips!

    I used to be a recruitment consultant for 5 years hun

    it's hard work - and i used to finish at 6pm then go home and at 6.30 was on the phone for a few hours talking to people who couldnt talk while they where at work.....

    they werent for me Byron - depends on the companies terms and conditions and the percentage rate each consultant is on and what level of staff they are finding jobs for.

    cheers hev,the hours are less than im working at the mo as its a 5 day week and mon to fri!

    The level of staff we are finding jobs for are high from 30k-130k.

    My wife works in receruitment...
    Like everyones said, its a hard job... the hours are long (8.30-6 plus 1 late day a week til 7.30) however, if your good at what you do, the perks are fantastic

    yeah thats what they say - you wait.......been there, done that...

    yeah that's the range I was covering - I got about 10% of any finding fee.....

    would like to say the company I worked for was a small one - recruiting individuals for the insurance/financial services industry.....

    if you work for a bigger company I am sure the rewards are high - but they will expect there pound of flesh!

    well it can be very rewarding in getting candidates placed and then ringing them a while later to see if they are happy etc - some of the people i placed are still at the companies I placed them at
