    Heater problem

    ive got a astra mk4 and the heaters only work on 3 and 4 not 1 and 2. ive tried a diffrent heater unit but its not that. anyone else had this problem or does anyone know what else it could be

    It's the resistor.
    97 P reg Astra 1.6 8v X16SZR, and yes I have a Haynes manual

    It'll probably be different on yours but on mine it's underneath the pollen filter which is under the plastic skuzzle thing under the windscreen. Below the windscreen wipers, where the motor for them is.

    When you take the filter out and look into the hole, you can see there is a resistor plugged in and screwed down. Just get one from a scrappy and change it over.
