    uprated actuator on zlet turbo

    Will the courtenay uprated actuator for use with the VXR turbo fit the standard z20let turbo???? im going to change to the vxr turbo soon but my standard atuator is ****ed, seeing as i need the uprated acuator to run the vxr unit could i buy and use that untill i decide to swap over to new turbo???? im currently running eds phase 2

    It certainly will fit, If you had the stock blower right next to the VXR blower, you could not tell the difference, apart from the water feed of course.

    It should work, but beware that the uprated actuator is a 1 bar unit, and may make the car a bit restless and boost a bit uneasy. I am running the same software, but have already fitted the turbo and actuator, and it can be a bit like all or nothing when it comes to the boost, one minute, all is fine, the next, its hedge here I come . I am having it remapped again on friday, so lets see

    dus the uprated actuator give major difference? when i had my turbo RR'd on saturday i asked what else they cud do to improve it BHP wise & they said probably chip it & uprate the actuator...and plan on doin sumthin like that over next couple months.,.,.

    the standard vxr actuator has a similar pull weight to the zlet actuator, though its slightly stronger. the vxr blower and actuator run perfectly fine on a standard mapped car.

    so will the uprated courtenay actuator be needed for eds phase 3 or will the standard vxr actuator be up to the job ????
    Ive been told that after fitting the vxr unit whilst on a phase 2 map there is a noticeable difference, is this true

    well for a cs3 upgrade u need an uprated actuator for the vxr blower.

    The standard VXR actuator is actually stiffer than the Courtenay uprated one. It does have a longer stroke than the stock VXR one, but all that means is that it reduces the cars capability to drive and cruise off boost.

    Regal state that the VXR actuator would be capable and suitable for use with a Phase 3 setup, and I can well believe it. I would be tempted to try it again on mine, if I hadnt sold it

    I have a spare new actuator off of a Regal hybrid turbo if anyones ever interested (its not uprated)?

    Its got some play (my present one that is) but i just haven't got round to fitting this one - or the knowledge if im honest!
