    exhaust problem

i have a 2004 coupe and would like a superchip, but i have been advised to get an exhaust system first. the thing is it will void my warranty if i change it. to my knowledge the onlt thing i can do is put an irmscher backbox on it. would this make any difference at all? or is there anything else i can do that will keep it in warrenty?

the superchip will void parts of the warrenty but there is a superchip warranty that picks up on the parts it voids. so vauxhall will still be responsible for the car however if the superchip causes damage then superchips will repair the car

strictly speaking, if the dealership is feeling arsey they can totally void your warranty the moment you mod the car....

so don;t assume you'll necessarily be safe in that respect.

having said that, in my experience they are mostly not too bad about it... ie if you fit suspension you only void the warrenty on related parts etc. so if that is the case with your ealer, fitting an exhaust would only void the warrenty on the related parts...

anyway, my point was this - chances are a superchip will void any warranty from vauxhall on your engine, so what do you have to lose by adding an exhaust? if the superchip voids your engine warranty anyway, then the exhuast has nothing left to void if you get my meaning...
