well, up here in scotland mudflaps are a good idea lol. Ive had them on all my cars apart from my current mr2, and its driving me mad.. car gets dirty so quickly!

I know that vauhalls sports models have them bolted on at diferent hights so just make sure you fit them at correct hight, or high enough to avoid most objects.

My Astra G was lowered 40mm and my mudflaps would hit kerbs, some cats eyes (no joke) and also scrape going round bends very fast.. but i still wouldnt get rid of them lol. And i also prefer the look

Seen a pair on ebay this evening.
As all Astra owners do Saterday morning assign atlesat 2 hours to car cleaning. Washed and waxed it hovered the inside put some restore dash shine on the dashboard and a new magic tree. In the afternoon when out and living in the sticks as I got blumin farmers Ive now got muck all down the side of my car. Huh theres 2 hours complete waist of my time.

Cut them down like I did with mine. They still look factory, but no longer rub anything now - even with a 20-30mm drop.

its always a topic of opinion which is good, so its up to you..... but if you were ordering a new car, would you get it without mudflaps & mats??

    I wouldnt lol

And i agree with mike.... cutting them down works a treat, especially if its genuine vaux ones as there are well made

P.S they also help prevent paint damage, stone chips etc.... and dirt getting into the bottoms of your doors & seals
