    rubbers

The ones around the main caliper piston that drives the pads to the disc..

also one of them has been sticking due to the split, any ideas mate?

If it's the rubber bellows that have perished, you can get new ones from a VX dealer

SET,GASKET,CALIPER PISTON Part no.90543998. check with the dealer these are the correct ones tho as y EPC is woefully old.

    Unless anyone can confirm??

The set includes the rubber bellows and a new seal for the piston.

The seal is a bit of a bugger, but you might not need to do this. The bellows however just pop off and pop back on again with a bit of fiddling. If you can get the caliper off the car then you should be able to swap bellows.

Just make sure that everything is dirt free before refitting (especially inside and and around the piston, lube up the rubbers with a dob of clean brake fluid and pop them carefully back on making sure they are seated correctly.

It's all in the Haynes, if you need a guiding hand

A few quid I'd have thought, but you never know. Worth checking out tho, as it's gonna be way cheaper than getting new/recon ones, or getting some 'unknowns' from a scrappy.

When do you wanna start, although you'll need your own toolbox.
