    CDR500 Tone adjust.

Can anyone help, my mate has just bought a V-plate Vectra SRi and the previous owner has changed the headunit.

It's now got a LATER CDR500 with the digital tone adjustment.
    Like this one.

Note the single tone button (not knob). When pressed he gets treble/bass etc but can't work out how to adjust it.

Anyone point me in the right direction.

Oh i forgot to mention, this chap is (was!) a die hard blue oval boy.

We'd alway have a bit of banter about the difference in marques and that he didn't know a good car when he saw one while he was waiting for a breakdown van at the side of the road. He text me last night with.

"Mate i've got a new car. It's not good, i've turned to the darkside! Vauxhall Vectra 2ltr SRi"

Try adjusting the bass/treble with the big arrowed rocker switch

He says that just moves the Radio up/down the frequency.

    (that was my suggestion too)

Sounds like he just needs some 'conversion training' - try on here (down the bottom)...

http://www.vauxhall.co.uk/vx/owners/getallmanuals.do. - there's not the exact model listed, but newer similar ones, with pretty much the same features tho

    Lol. Your correct Ffoeg.

Just after i posted my last post, i turned my PC off to go to work. He text me again and said. "sorted the problem it was me!"

He's not used to electrical things that work in his cars, so i'll forgive him.

Nay probs mate, glad it's sorted.

On the one and only Ford I ever had the misfortune to own, I don't think the guys on the production line were 'used to electrical things' either - so your mate is having quite a culture shock, I assume

Yes, he's a little in awe of it at the mo.

He says the build quality shows the blue oval up.

(Oh that link takes me to the Vauxhall site, but no options to click on any manuals)

Hummmm - you might have to register at www.vauxhall.co.uk to get the downloads then.

It's worth doing if anyone's not got one.
