Talking Hi all... long time no see

Not been on the site for quite some time, had various things going on in the last few months so its been the last thing on my mind really.
Not only that, but Ive been without my astra for most of the past year, having defected temporarily to the jap side, however, Im about to get another mk3 in the next few weeks, so decided to come back and make myself re-known and see how everyone is doin.

My new motor is a 1.6 K reg 5 door mk3 GLS in white, some work needs doing such as removing some rust from the rear arches, nothing major really. Not bad for nearly free lol. All Ive needed to get for it is a new alternator.
Im just going to keep it more or less standard, changing the odd thing here and there, cosmetic stuff really, lights etc.

I want it more for comfort rather than performance, as Ive got to stop driving like a nutter as my darling fiancée puts it, because Im gonna be a dad this year, due around August 13th, and no, its not a friday lol.

So yeah, thought Id drop in a see how the looney bin is running lately and book myself back in lol.

    Sy

Thanks all, its good to be back.
Hev - Unfortunately not, prior engagement that weekend otherwise I would.

Cant wait to be back in a VX, Ive had a crap time with cars this past year:
First off, the alternator went in my astra in january, fixed that then the head gasket went about 2 weeks later, so because I needed a car asap and my brother was selling his Honda Prelude, I bought it. That was supposed to be a temporary car, but I didnt work much during the first 6 months of last year, so I ended up using it permanently, until a stupid old fart in a Renault Scenic crashed into my passenger side whilst in Doncaster in July, completely writing off the Honda. So, after a lengthy wait for the insurance money to come through (all £550 of it) and being off the road for some time, I made the mistake of letting my brother go to the auction with what was left after paying off some bills etc, £200.. and he came back with a Subaru, only it was a Justy, a 1.2 litre, 4 wheel drive, shed on wheels lol.
So its going to be a good year methinks, Im getting a new car for next to nothing, Im engaged, Im gonna be a dad, who knows, I might win the lottery lol.
