    Unhappy turbo boost non existent

    hi im new to this forum and i have purchased an sri turbo on 52 plate a week ago and has been fine until i took the airbox cover off and reinstalled it. now i have no turbo boost at all and there is no engine managment light displaying i checked the vacum pipes to see but all connected incase i disturbed anything . whats wrong pls help

    Check the wire to the AFM. Either that or the AFM is goosed (which happens if you fart loudly near a Z20LET aparently).

    so the airflow meter can go faulty without the engine light coming on?

    Check the fuel valve connections - have you disturbed the piping that goes and returns from the carbon filter? if one is unclipped (think that they have bright green connectors?) - this could be your problem, as they are next to your airbox.

    If it's your AFM - then you'll be in emergency mode from the sounds of it - which limits your revs and speed to about 60mph? usually you would have a light on though by this point it it's this.

    Should do, although if you have disturbed anything 'important' then an electrical sensor would pick it up.

    I'm a bit confused - do you have a light up on the dash or not?

    I know this seems a bit of a thread hi jack situation but...


    Scotty mentioned the carbon filter, has anybody had any problems with this thing ticking loudly? Mine does, sounds like a tappet noise. Also, is there a fix for this?

    is it coming from the lefthand side (on the pic) cos i have a slight ticking noise and vauxhall say its normal
