The elusive spare grommet on the bulkhead?

My girlfriend has a Mk4 Astra GSi, I've searched and read that there is spare grommet for cars with fly by wire throttle, now I cannot find it anywhere, there are two grommets that I can see, one with the bonnet cable going through and another with another pipe going through the bulkhead one end and towards the gearstick at the other, and as far as my eyes can see there is no free grommet.

    Or am I being stupid?

    Cheers

your not stupid , there is a lack of grommets.

you need to drill behind the glovebox, its hard to describe the location but autosparks has a photo of where to drill. if you do a search am sure you can find it.

Have a feel directly above the throttle pedal from inside the car - it's about 1½cm dia and a few cm above the pedal.

The grommet is there on the fly by wire models (the GSi is) but failing that you could drill a hole. Mine is in exactly the same spot as Autosparks' cos I don't have the spare grommet.

Have a search through the ice forum for more gen on the grommet your looking for. It's behind the fuse box.

I'm sure it will be the grommet with the wire going through it as the gsi has switchable traction control and the kit uses that grommet

Not the best picture but here's where it is

So can I not pull the grommet out and run the cable through the side of the grommet?
