    cv joint

    how long will it last if it has started sqeeking

    i have just noticed a split in the boot, will it help if i fill it with greese


    what type do i need

    and also where is the cheapest place to get hold of cv joints

    oh one more thing, is it a diy job ???

    Fill it up with grease (it may not have any inside) and see if it stops the squeaking, if it does then all you need is a boot to replace the split one.

    cv's make a sort of clicking noise when turning corners when they start to go

    Not sure but it might be better to clean all the grease out, give it a good clean and then repack with fresh grease + new cv boot.

    If the grease in there has been contaminated with crap and grit, putting more grease in will not help too much.

    if you need a new shaft i can get them from some in essex that are not that much at danny price
