I doubt they would be able to water it down, well not with water anyway. And it must conform to a certain BS standard

I must admit that in my teenage days of working in a supermarket petrol station i did hear from one of the pump engineers that supermarket fuel contains waste oils etc to bulk it out. 95% octane 5% waste. Oh and there is always alot of sand in cheaper fuel ( used in the refining prosses??)

Supposedly the supermarkets get slightly lower grade petrol than the main petrol stations due to costs.

This means the octane rating is lower but it's always still within the BS limits for octane ratings of that type of fuel

surly near enough all standard fuel, either from different companys like BP and tescos are the same? for instance when they had the huge oil fire and bunsfield, one of the witness who was a BP driver i believe said that he was there with Tesco drivers, and the texico drivers are normally there at like 5am in the morning. So if there all taking there petrol from the same Depot, and it gets delivered to the petrol stations its the same stuff? apart from the higher RON stuff?

My mate says the pumps are different and this is where water gets added...

Apparently Tesco has an inlet for water aswell as petrol, however BP just has petrol... i htink hes shitting me.
