Removing writing and badges from back

    Hi,

has anyone removed/replaced the writing or logo on the back of their MK4 - (Or any car for that matter) - I'm wondering if I'll need it sprayed over or what needs doing after you have taken them off as I'm wanting to replace it all with the Opel badge. Also - what's the best way to remove them without causing damage to car?

    Cheers.

You can remove everything without an issue except the griffin which leaves 2 holes. Best trying a search as the question has been asked many a time.

You can use anything...I've always relied on my fingers (and nails)

Make sure you cut and polish the area after badges have been removed....

and as Sten says, you will be left with holes if you remove the centre badge on the boot.

Center badge is being replaced, it was the writing I was worried about.

    Cheers.

I used a hairdryer and a thin piece of string which worked a treat.
