When was the last time your wheels were balanced? As this would cause shuddering through steering wheel and footwell esp at high speed

Mine is the other way around, shudders at 70/80mph and stops at around 100-120. lol But I know that is because I need my wheels balanced, getting new tyres after the holidays.

First of all make sure all your wheel nuts are tightened as this was the cause of my mothers antics. They were done up tight but not how they should have been done they were still loose. Needless to say the guys at the tyre centre got a roasting when I got there. Get your tracking checked. Make sure your tyres are balanced correctly. At those types of speeds any defect is 100x worse.

Mine did 125mph the other day no worries. Was kicking the ass out of a 1.8TDI focus until I hit 4th then he just sailed by. Before anyone mentions it yes it WAS on a private airstrip. I didn't feel my car do anything out of the usual apart from the backend started getting very loose but as I found out when we got back I got 2 nails in my n/s rear tyre and 1 in the o/s rear tyre.

Have you got the right size spigot rings fitted??

Failing that get them balanced again - I've never had mine done correctly 1st time
