yup and don't forget that your windows will lose their 'memory' i.e. their one touch up and down when you disconnect the battery.

To reset them, do the windows down and keep your finger on the button for 5 secs after they have gone down. then do them up and again keep your finger on the button for 5 secs.

The other way is to disconnect the battery with the ignition switched on so the dash lights are on.

But disconnecting the battery will not nesseserily remove the remove the fault codes.

It will put the light out but may still have the codes stored in the ECU, but if the fault on the car has gone/rectified, the fault code should clear itself once the engine has been switched on more than 6 times without the fault re-occuring.
