A nice clean original example would be nice but round my way they are all total chav wagons.

Origninal examples are getting rare as most are molested.. find one of these and it will be a nice car.... even with the 3/6 spoke alloys.

When I was looking at a performance car, the way it handled was the let down and led to me getting a Seat Ibiza 2.0 GTi instead.
why do today what you can...... I'll finish this later

my mates old one was on speedlines with a spax coilover kit. it handled superbly and went very well.

the question is though is it a chav wagon??

I test drove a few when getting the astra - they do go well and handle nicely - and with a few choice mods can be quite smart looking. I personally dont think the gsi is a chav wagon, all though they are getting very cheap. However with some TB's or a mantzel powerbox, manifold and chip 160 bhp is acheivable!

i like them, and i would certainly have one for running around in. Keep it mainly standard but with good tyres and/or diferent wheels and some koni shocks or somthing.

They are great wee cars and stiffer suspesnion just makes them more kart like.

good ones are becoming cult classics
