    z20let problems!!! help!!

    Right heres the thing...

1st prob: i have an emissions light problem, took it to vauxhall, gave me fault code p0170 and said it could be a few things 02 sensor on precat (which i changed) wiring, ecu, or cat. just wanna know what u guys think before i waste my money.

2nd Prob: when the car idles, the rev blip only slightly every now n then, and i can feel it judder? is it caused by the ist prob????

3rd prob: when i start the car i here this what can be called a squeel/screeching noise, it gets moderately worse when i accelerate and stops when it gets warm, if i stop it for bout 5 mins, start the car again it still happens but not to the same extent as wen its been left for ages, its kinda embarrassing.

with all the probs im kinda thinkin of swappin it.......for a ctr??!?

    HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!

    Ben,

1st and 2nd, not too sure, but I know someone will tell you to swap out the airflowmeter at some point in this thread.

3rd prob, have you checked the alternator belt for condition/tension etc.

1st and 2nd problem could be 2 things as said already the AMM, the other could be your 2nd O2 sensor (the one after the cat) my o2 sensor blew and pretty much tock the AMM with it, if you can, borrow another turbo'd astra and swap sensors over untill it starts to run ok again

id offer my car as help but i dont know where ya live

i have been there>>>>>> i changed both o2 sensors, airflow metre, and had the egr valve de-coked and these did not turn the light off...... so took it back to vauxhall and they said oh it must be the ecu then, so i got rid as i couldn't afford to spend anymore>>not to mention really pi***d off with it. As regards to the squeek give the fan belt a spray with wd 40 whilst it it's running if it still squeels it is probably not that!
