    Tyres

My Mk3 has the standard 6 spoke alloys from Vauxhall with 195/55R15 tyres. Would I have any problems putting 215/50R15 tyres on the same rims as according to the tyre calculator its only a 0.08% difference in ratio.

Would they fit ok without any problems rubbing etc? Anyone else done this (or with 205/55R15 (only 1.84% ratio)) please let me know.

    Cheers, Brian

depends majorly on the width of the rim, but tbh it's pointless. why do you wanna do it?

    Tyre

A wider tyre will give me more grip under braking.
