    Arrow Exhaust Advice please

Need to get a cat for my Mk4 1999 1.6 16v (got a de-cat at the moment but its just too loud) just bought a full cat back stainless system but dont want to fit it untill i have a cat and dont really want to pay hundreds of pounds to get one from a quickfit type place.

My local scrappy has got one for sale off a 2001 1.6 16v for £60.

Will this fit my car or are the cats different for different year cars?

Any help asap would be much appreciated!

    Simon.

For a start...it's not URGENT not at 1200 at night.....

It should be the same fitting, but a simple look underneath will confirm that for you.

Also just say to the scrappy that if it dont fit you'll take it back.

Cats dont make a car louder or quieter ... they restrict airflow but dont silence. My brother took his cat off his old Rover 420 GSi and it didnt make it any louder... if he removed the silencer it would.

Wrong!!! They do make it louder....

origionally i had a cat - remus racing centre section (no silencer) - and a sports back box! This setup was still quite loud but no where near as loud as when i took the cat out and had a de-cat in place!
