    Steering wheel/airbag cover

When I bought my car a ouple of months ago there was a tear in the the steering wheel cover (pic below)

Found a part number from a thread which was 90437334, went into VX to order it and collected it today. only to find the cover is greyish whilst mine is black and the new cover doesn't say "airbag" on it for some strange reason. Looks like it might be a scrappy job to find one as that lil tear is kinda annoying me now, shoudl be fun as a fair few scrapped ones already have had the airbag deployed.

Guess I might be putting the thing up in the FS forum, not even sure if it can accomodate an airbag, feels a bit too hard and as it was a special order item I can't return it D'oh!

I thought that if they've ordered the wrong part, then they have to take back.

thats a cover for astra g's with no airbags
you could get a air bag from a brakers mate if you look on the back of your air bag there will be a plug for the yellow wire
    green
    white
    yellow
you will need to get the same one as you have at the mo or the airbag ecu wont work

Well I specifically gave em a part number and they didnt have the picture of the cover in their order/parts schematics diagrams on their computers. Tried search on AS and came up with that part number so I thought it was correct, ah well ::sighs::

I think the cover is all part of the airbag assembly so you would need a new airbag

You just missed a few steering wheels with airbags on ebay, that went for quite cheap. Should be loads in scrappers, my local one has plenty...Even has a deployed one with blood all over - for the authentic accident look! :P
