    ignition problems..

Ive just came home from a fairly long drive, running like a dream. Got back home parked up in my driveway, left the car running for about 30 seconds whilst i closed the gates then turned off the ignition. When i opened my door the siren was going off (like when you leave your lights on without the key) so i tried to put the key back in the ignition and it wouldnt go in? no dash lights are on, heaters etc wont work but the stereo will still turn on? and the keyfob wont work neither (it will unlock but not lock). am i just being dumb or does it sound like i have goosed something?

    Thanks in advance

It sounds like somehow you've managed to remove the key before the barrel has moved to its resting position. So the car still thinks your keys are in the slot at the first position your heaters ect won't work at his point but it will allow you to listen to the radio (like your listening to the radio whilst waiting for someone). Some how and I really don't know how you've gotta get the barrel back to its resting position.

Sorry but only smarties have the answer not jam today
