A loss for football fans but, he did get a second change in life that quite a lot of people waiting for a liver transplant dont get and drank it away...

Brilliant footballer, but a tragic waste of a life.

He had plenty of opportunites to prevent his untimely death, but 'chose' to ignore them

    he was a gentleman

only problem was he has a drink addiction

waste of talent as he could have passed so much experience onto younger footballers

I'm not a football fan in the slightest but this annoys me more than anything. People with second chances that waste them.

    what a waste

without tending to sound contrited it was a waste a waste of a liver my mother in law waited 2 years for a kidney and i have meet many people in the same boat and they are very grateful for the second chance that life has given them, not piss it up against a wall, yes a fantastic footballer possibly one of the best but still a waste of a valuable organ.........sorry my opinion

The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

A great shame that he went down the road he did. a true star of the game that won't be forgotten and an example of what happens when stars are not sheilded from the fame that comes with such a proffession.
