    Lollipop Ladies, Learners and Lorries.......

....should be banned from the roads of the UK. This morning it took me an hour to get into work (usually takes 25 mins) because of the above. I am absolutely so Peed off with lollipop ladies, learners and lorries that it has become an obsession

First of all I came across 3 lollipop ladies - no children waiting to cross but adults. They wait for you to approach and then slam their fecking lollipop on the road and blatantly walk out in front of you (the road had been clear previously) = me doing 3 emergency stops.

LEARNERS - what is it? Is there something in the Highway code which states that I will drive at 25 miles an hour in a 30 zone and then I will hesitate at a roundabout for 40 days and nights while I decide how to get the clutch bite - then it looks all good as you accelerate smoothly but no you take your foot off the clutch to far - kangaroo and stall = me doing 1 emergency stop.

Lorries - don't give a shite about you - I'm bigger than you and am coming through! They consistently take over each other without any intention of actually passing the vehicle they are overtaking ( normally another massive HGV) The 2 lorry drivers are then neck and neck chatting to each other on the CB radio and hand signalling - jeeze. Oh and when you think there is light at the end of the tunnel - they slam their brakes on and let the lorry out in front of them to overtake a tractor or something of the sort = 1 emergency stop.

They have also covered my car in shit which was clean on Tuesday but now looks like a muckspreading vehicle.

Thanks - feel better for expressing my feelings - what do you reckon or am I just raged?

The speed trucks overtake eachother is actually to do with tiny power bands and fuel consumption. Truck 1's most efficiant speed may be 54mpg. Tuck 2 behind it may be more efficient at 56mph as it has a lighter load. Truck 2 at 54mph will be burning the same amount of diesel as it would at 56, so he overtakes.

When you're doing 7mpg with a load, every little bit saved counts.
