    Question Emissions

I had my exhaust system fitted at the weekend. Ever since i have had a light lit up on my dash? I looked it up in the manual and apparently its to do with my emmissions. But the people who fit my exhaust say that they have never heard of an emmisions light and assure me that the emmissions would not have changed as the catalytic converter is still in place?

Any one else had the same problem or know what its all about?

    Thanks

Did you have your exhaust fitted at a vauxhall garage? If not, then the monkeys have damaged one of your lamba sensors, that monitor the emmisions from your exhaust system. There are 2, 1 near the front of the car, and 1 near the middle.

If worst comes to the worst, then you may need a new lamba sensor, around £100, but if they've just disturbed the sensor, then vauxhall will do a ECU reset for around £45.

Either way, Id charge the idiots who fitted the exhaust. They will know what an emissions light is (also known as engine managment light) they just sound to be playing dumb.

    Hope this helps

When I had my duplex system fitted they disconnected the Lambda sensor by dropping the OE front section too far. Have a check it's still connected, it will take a while for the light to go off but it will go.
