Did Vauxhall Just ... Forget Stuff On The Mk4?

I was playing around with my brothers T reg Mondeo today ... I opened it ... left it open ... never got in it. 30secs later it locked itself.

Why doesnt my 03 reg Astra do that???

Also my mates 03 reg Corsa SRI does it!!!! ... Is this a missing feature of the mk4 or what??

Also, has anyone got isntructions for the "total closure" system that LMF sell that they can scan in and host for me before I buy the thing?

    cheers

At least they remembered the turbo on yours!

You do get quite a few little extras that you don't find in other cars, like one touch windows - both sides.
Total closure - albeit on the key as standard.
Dead locks - getting more common though.

No idea mate - it just does, however it's totally random usually locks after about 10 to 80 mins.

A friend of mine who used to do electronic counter-measures for the "diplomatic corp" (aka MI6), reckons that by sticking the key in the igntion (whilst turned on) pressing the buttons in the right sequence you can reprogramme bits of the standard alarm to do diffeent things.

May be I was having a fiddle and did it by accident, or maybe it's he's told my a load of poo, I don't know. but it does self-lock.
